Joyería peruana con nombre de mujer

Peruvian jewelry with a woman's name

More and more women are empowering themselves and speaking up for our traditions.

In March, we join together to commemorate the struggle of millions of women to achieve good working conditions and equal rights.

Over the years, this date has taken on great importance internationally, because it allows more women around the world to strengthen and demand their rights.

Empowering them to have greater participation in different areas, such as politics, economics, society, science and technology, among others.

While much has been achieved over the years, the fight for equal rights must continue to be waged every day.

And this date is a great opportunity to highlight great talents, women who inspire us and who contribute to the planet.

That is why we want to show you one of the artisans who is an example to follow, who spreads our traditions and inspires more women to be entrepreneurs.

Hilda Cachi: Artist, entrepreneur and pride of Cusco

Preserving and spreading our traditions and culture is not easy, however, the artist and artisan Hilda Cachi has been one of the women who has achieved transcendence and recognition of the silver art of Cusco.

In 2014, Hilda Cachi received the UNESCO Prize of Excellence for Andean Crafts, for her contribution to the sustainable cultural development of the Cusco region.

For us, Hilda is a woman who inspires us because she and her team stand out for the artisanal production of traditional Cusco jewelry.

Furthermore, his art is avant-garde, as it incorporates contemporary designs and techniques in Silver Art.

She learned her artisanal techniques from her father, but as an enterprising woman she developed and disseminated them through her original line of contemporary jewelry, in which she combines silver with natural stones such as turquoise, quartz and opal.

But what we love most is that he also combines silver with other organic materials, such as seeds and engraved mate pieces.

She is undoubtedly an example to follow. She is empowered and empowers other women. And she manages to convey our history through her art, which has a great impact in Peru and the world.

We are increasingly more

We love that Peru is a land full of wonderful women, who carry out projects that explore and spread our traditions, while strengthening equality and the rights of all.

We hope that every day more women will become empowered and with their great ideas they will be able to contribute their grain of sand to support other women, to help our society and above all, to continue generating environmentally conscious practices.
